Sew a Fleece Blanket with Cotton Quilting Charm

This blanket makes a quick gift or home accessory. It utilizes the warmth and comfort of fleece yet has the charm of a cotton quilt. The smaller version of the instructions below is adored by our cat for her favorite spot to lounge.

Materials:
For a couch throw size:

• 2 1/2 yards of 45" wide cotton novelty print or pieced fabric
• 3 1/3 yards of solid color 60" wide fleece
• thread

For a doll blanket or pet floor blanket

• 33" by 26" solid color fleece
• 19" by 12 1/2" cotton novelty print or pieced fabric
• thread

Note:Preshrink all fabrics before you start construction. Mark the center of every side of each piece of fabric. Mark the center of each piece of fabric.
