Fall is around the corner and I always try to clean the house from top to bottom before I'm forced to close the windows against the winter cold. It's a perfect time to take the sewing machines to the dealer for yearly cleaning and maintenances. I used to think it was a waste but I'd rather have a planned yearly maintenance expense than a big repair bill that I wasn't expecting.
I live in the Hudson Valley where the fall means APPLES! All the trees have various shades of red and green apples on them right now... but only "summer apples" are available at the local farm stands. Summer apples have to be refrigerated which puts the "apple scent" in the refrigerator unless you are baking a pie... and I prefer Macs for pie baking so there's no apple scent in the house unless I make a
