Economical Ideas For Halloween
Halloween Costumes allow our creativity to reach an all time high. There is no right or wrong to a costume. Here's some tips to help defray some of the expenses.
Pajamas
#2704 for children, which is an excellent style for costuming. Buy a little extra fabric and make matching mittens to complete your costume.
A pink pair of pajamas with a curly tail and triangle ears on the hood becomes a pig. Small children can easily be made into cows and dalmatians by making white pajamas and adding appropriate black spots. If you need help with the spots, MacPhee Workshop applique patterns has a "Spotted Fever" appliques pattern to help.
If our child will be outside for Halloween, make the pajamas large enough for warm clothing under them or out of fleece or another warm fabric. They will have growing room and warm pajamas for the winter.
Warner Brothers has a pages of printable masks. I did find these masks on the small side but with pajamas as the body the possibilities are endless. Grey pajamas with a hood and pom pom tail gets a great costume for Bugs Bunny. Bunny Ears on the hood and an applique on the belly adds the finishing touch. For Tweety, yellow pajamas are a great base and feathers temporarily attached, render the pajamas usable later. Add a feather tail for more fun.
Simple Headgear has all you need to add your own head gear to pajamas or any costume.
Boys tend to want the scary side of Halloween Costuming 101has directions for a basic cowel that's the start of many ideas. Add boot style slippers or Foot Wear For The Middle Ages - Basic Instructionsas foot wear to Pajamas, old clothes or a sweat suit.
